The CapCTRL software will turn your WtW pH 3310 instrument into a sophisticated regulation system for water pH and pCO2 if combined with our digital relay device DAQ-M. The user-friendly software for Windows allows you to calibrate, monitor, log, graph and regulate pH and pCO2 to any level in your system, e.g., a chamber, holding tank or aquarium.
Applications range from studies of ocean acidification, water chemistry, effects of hypercapnia in aquatic organisms, and water quality control (pH/pCO2/temp) holdings tanks.
Partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) is measured indirectly as water pH with optional pH equipment from German WTW, e.g. one pH instrument and sensor is required for each tank. With an optional gas control set including a solenoid valve, the system will automatically regulate pCO2 or pH by injection of gasses, e.g. CO2 gas for hypercapnic control.
The relationship between pCO2 and pH is obtained by measuring pH in water equilibrated with two different pCO2 partial pressures (e.g. use a gas mixing system or two different calibrated lab gases) and CO2 values can be given in any unit you prefer.
